Founded in 2020, and based in the Amsterdam Science Park, VectorY is a fully integrated gene-therapy company focused on the development of innovative therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS and Huntington’s disease.

With R&D and manufacturing facilities in Amsterdam, VectorY develops proprietary & partnered programs based on its novel AAV-based vectorized antibody gene therapy platform. Product candidates are based on next generation vector technologies, which will enable a proprietary and highly scalable manufacturing process.

We have experienced a period of rapid expansion and are looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to join our growing company.

Short description of the finance department

The function concerns a mix of Accounting and Business activities. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for financial analysis and the supplier ledger which is currently carried out by an external accounting firm and managed internally by the Controller.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Support the purchase-to-pay process by entering supplier invoices and providing point of contact liaison for suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Running and posting supplier payment reports on a weekly basis.

  • Processing and reconciliation of monthly credit card statements.

  • Tracking overheads spend vs budget monthly and providing commentary on quarterly variance.

  • Posting month end journals.

  • Support the implementation of a new finance and business ERP system.

  • Tracking cashflow.

  • Tracking company spend under werkkostenregeling.

  • Providing back-up for payroll process.

  • Support the annual external audit process and implementation of processes suggested.

  • Support other ad hoc business tasks as required.

    Profile:

  • Studied HBO degree in Accountancy, Business or comparable and 0-4 years of relevant office experience, interacting with various stakeholders .

  • Looking for a career in accountancy.

  • Problem solver with strong analytical skills.

  • Enthusiastic, well-organized and thrives working as part of a team.

  • Able to work in a flexible and dynamic environment.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
