With R&D facilities in Amsterdam, VectorY develops proprietary & partnered programs based on its novel AAV-based vectorized antibody gene therapy platform.

Job description

VectorY is seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Program Manager to enable efficient execution of our programs and technologies from Research to Clinic. The Program Manager will function as Project Lead of multiple VectorY programs and technologies and will align all functional areas in their mission to deliver novel treatments to patients with neurodegenerative disease like ALS, HD and PD. The function will lead the project team and will bring scientific input, regulatory and clinical information together. The Program Manager will provide project status updates and participate in strategic decisions together with the management team.

 

The preferred candidate works independently and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, as he/she will interact with all levels of employees in Research, CMC (Vector, Assay & Process Development), Clinical, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs teams.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • The Program Manager demonstrates critical thinking along all stages of the programs and technologies, recognizes important bottlenecks and provides solutions (together with the technical experts) to the MT.

  • Drive cross-functional program teams (with members from Research, CMC Development, Clinical, Regulatory, and Manufacturing and manage deliverables for on-time completion of multiple VectorY programs and technologies.

  • Manage and coordinate various program-related outsourced activities at (clinical) CRO’s, CDMO’s and Research.

  • Develop and maintain program and technology plans, materials for strategy development and prioritization (e.g. program dashboards, Gantt charts, Visio process maps, program budgets), risk management strategies and risk / issue logs, action logs, meeting minutes, decision and action item logs, etc.

  • Oversee adherence to program and technology timelines and budget.

  • Foster productive communication and alignment among all functional areas, as appropriate, via proactive networking and facilitation, including excellent stakeholder management and communication to MT.

    Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master degree in a relevant field with a strong technical background and a minimum of 5 year experience in project management in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, preferably with early clinical Phase projects.

  • Project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, PMP, APM Associate, PMQ is a plus.

  • Experience managing multiple projects and technologies simultaneously and resolving conflicts related to meeting numerous deadlines.

  • Knowledgeable with the biopharmaceutical development process and/or genetic therapy industry.

  • Experience with therapeutic programs for neurodegeneration is a plus.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, and MS Project.
