Short description of the position

VectorY is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Project Manager in the area of gene therapy to support our mission to deliver novel AAV-based vectorized antibody therapies.

The Project Manager will take ownership of the Clinical Phase 1/2 development project(s) at VectorY and support all activities needed to bring the project from bench to bedside. The Project Manager will lead the internal, cross functional, project team consisting of all relevant stakeholders, and will build a common planning, will monitor project progress and will regularly present the project status to the VectorY management team. A sufficient level of scientific understanding and regulatory knowledge is expected to allow the Project Manager to independently interact with all disciplines and to take the lead in identifying project gaps and risks. Also writing of regulatory documents (e.g. IND or IMPD) with support from the project team, will be part of the responsibility.

The preferred candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills as this position interacts with all levels of employees in Research, Vector & Process Development, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs teams.

  

Main responsibilities of the role

  •  Drive cross-functional project team(s) and manage deliverables for on-time completion of project activities.

  • Develop and maintain plans, materials for strategy development and risk management strategies (e.g. Gantt charts, Visio process maps).

  • Provide effective communication and coordination with operational teams and proactively update stakeholders on progress and issues (e.g. project dashboards, reporting).

  • Partner with Technical Operations departments to ensure coordinated preparation and delivery of materials and regulatory submissions.

  • Oversee adherence to project budget.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Masters degree in a relevant field with a strong technical background in e.g translational research and a minimum of 5 years experience in project management in biopharmaceutical industry.

  • Proficient in bridging the gap between basic scientific research and clinical application, including alignment between preclinical toxicology studies, manufacturing of clinical trial material and performing clinical trials.

  • Skilled in project planning, execution, and monitoring, with a focus on timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication to achieve project objectives efficiently.

  • Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, and motivating individuals to work towards common goals, while ensuring alignment with organizational strategies.

  • Knowledgeable about relevant regulatory requirements.
