Short description of the position
The Senior Manager of Strategic Operations will serve as a trusted business partner to the CEO and leadership team, playing a central role in driving organizational effectiveness and catalyzing strategic imperatives. This role will work in lockstep with our leadership team and cross-functionally to improve decision-making, increase team productivity, and translate strategic ideas into clear, actionable plans. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into what it takes to build and run a company at the highest level, while shaping the company’s vision and long-term growth strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong operational instincts and strategic curiosity and be hungry to learn, grow, and lead.
The Senior Manager Strategic Operations will report to the CEO and base location will be East Coast (USA) or the Netherlands.
Main responsibilities of the role
Executive Business Partnership: Work as a close partner with the CEO and leadership team to translate strategic ideas to reality, help manage priorities, and support high-quality decision-making. Attend and participate in all leadership team meetings.
Strategy Execution: Support the leadership team in aligning and operationalizing strategic imperatives across the company. Facilitate the development of strategic documents, including internally and externally facing materials.
Project Management: Lead key leadership team projects, ensuring deadlines, resources, and goals are met efficiently.
Board, Investor, and Partner-facing Support: Play a key role in developing Board, investor, and partner materials by organizing input across teams, creating clear narratives, and aligning messaging with company strategy.
Internal Communication: Ensure the flow of clear and consistent communication across teams.
Team Collaboration: Build strong internal relationships to encourage strong teamwork and alignment between departments.
Skills and Qualifications:
Industry Knowledge: At least 6 years of industry experience with strong understanding of biotech and drug development.
Project Leadership: Able to manage complex projects across teams.
Strong Communicator: Excellent writing, prepare presentations, relationship building, and presentation skills.
Problem Solver: Thinks critically and uses data to make smart decisions
