Short description of the position

At VectorY, we are pioneering vectorized antibody therapeutics to enable next-generation delivery of biologics. Using an AAV platform produced in insect cells, we are advancing novel treatments into clinical trials and beyond. 

Our Process Development team plays a central role in optimizing and scaling up manufacturing processes for these complex biologics. As we are expanding our pipeline, we are seeking a highly motivated technician to the process development team. 

As a Technician in Process Development, you will work closely with scientists and engineers to execute and support AAV production and purification processes. You will be involved in upstream operations (cell culture, baculovirus infection, harvest) and/or downstream purification steps (chromatography, filtration, TFF). 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in process development for clinical manufacturing and contribute to the development of breakthrough therapeutics. 

Main responsibilities of the role 

  • Perform routine and experimental runs related to AAV production and purification 

  • Operate and maintain lab-scale and pilot-scale equipment (e.g., bioreactors, centrifuges, AKTA systems, TFF units) 

  • Prepare media, buffers, and other reagents following SOPs and batch records 

  • Record experimental data accurately and assist in analyzing results 

  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal quality standards 

  • Support process scale-up, tech transfer, and sample preparation for analytical teams 

  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient lab environment 

  • Participate in brainstorm sessions to identify path forwards in challenging or novel experiments 

Skills and Qualifications:

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • MLO, HLO, or BSc in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field 

  • Hands-on experience in a biotech, pharma, or academic lab setting 

  • Experience with cell culture (preferably insect cells) and/or viral/protein purification is a plus 

  • Interest in bioprocess development and scaling technologies
